Rumor Killer on Darby Allin Walking Out of Death Riders Storyline for Mt. Everest Climb

As noted before, Darby Allin is currently on a break from AEW due to him recently started training for his planned climb of Mount Everest this Spring.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that recent rumors of Allin had walked out in the middle of a storyline program for his Mt. Everest climb are not true.

Meltzer reported that AEW officials had known for a long time the dates that he would be away from the company and everything they had planned for him leading to his break was part of their on-going long term plan for him.

Meltzer reported that AEW’s long-term plans for Allin was the reason for the idea of why Allin was a big focal point for the Death Riders’ current storyline angle and why they kept attacking him over and over again to generate as much heat and put the group over as a big threat for his return.
