As noted before, Alexa Bliss has been out of action for WWE since January of 2023 due to skin cancer treatment-related issues and maternity reasons over the birth of her first child.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE officials recently dropped their current plans for Bliss’ return to the company.
Johnson reported that WWE officials had recently informed their creative team to put all plans for Bliss on hold indefinitely.
Johnson also reported that the original plans were for Bliss to return at the January 13th WWE RAW show in San Jose, California and had been planned to be involved in a storyline with the Wyatt Sicks. WWE’s creative team reportedly was told right before that night’s show to drop all their plans for Bliss’ return.
The reason for the dropped plans reportedly was not due to any issues related to creative nor any health-related issues due to Bliss was ready to return. One source spoken to reportedly stated that they believe it might have been due to a contract issue while others spoken to stated that they do not know what this issue could be.
Johnson reported that WWE officials currently do not have any creative plans for Bliss to make her return for the Women’s Royal Rumble match at next weekend’s Royal Rumble 2025 event.
