Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage show in Cincinnati, Ohio featured indies wrestler Megan Bayne making her official AEW Dynamite debut appearance. Bayne’s contract with AEW was believed to have expired in Summer of 2024 and she was believed to be a free agent since then.
Fightful Select reported that their sources within AEW stated that Bayne’s contract with the company did not actually expire and she has been signed the entire time she has been absent. Those close to Bayne stated the opposite and Bayne’s previous contract with AEW had expired and she had become a free agent at some point.
Despite the conflicting stories, it was reported that most within AEW agreed that Bayne is currently under a contract with the company.
It was also reported that the current belief is that Bayne will remain on AEW television following her appearance last night in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match.
