Zayn then stated that Seth Rollins told him that he was helping too many people and he needs to think about himself. Zayn stated that he has started to think about himself and he started thinking about the 14 year old him and his dream to become a wrestler. After some more words, Zayn talked about the only different between him and those people in the upper echelon in WWE is that they have a World title to their name. Zayn then talked about how he does not need the title to complete him because of the support he had received and that meant more than any title. Zayn stated that he does not need the World Championship but he wants it, fourteen year old him wants it, and he is still with him. Zayn then stated that he is going to take it.

Owens stated that Zayn can and will win the Royal Rumble. Owens talked about how Zayn deserves to win the Rumble and how they can accomplish something together again. Owens then talked about how that can happen when Zayn wins the Rumble and him walks out of the Royal Rumble as WWE Champion. Owens then told Zayn that he has his back and he knows he will walk out of the Royal Rumble as champion because Sami will have his back like how he had Roman’s back. Owens stated that he knows that as his brother, if he needs him, he knows that Sami will be there. Owens then left the ring as Zayn looked on conflicted over Owens’ speech.
