As noted before, Josh Alexander’s contract with TNA Wrestling expired earlier this month and he is currently a free agent. Alexander is currently expected to be heading to AEW for the next destination of his wrestling career following WWE dropping their plans for him. Alexander recently had hired notable sports agent Barry Bloom to represent him in negotiations for a new contract.
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Alexander will be signing with AEW.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to within AEW currently have Alexander listed as “coming in” to the company. Those spoken to reportedly also confirmed that Alexander has made his decision on where he will be heading to next for his career.
Alexander’s decision reportedly was influenced on what he perceived would be the best thing for his family in regards to the best offer on the table from WWE and AEW.
