As noted before, Skye Blue has been out of action from AEW since this past July due to a broken ankle injury while Killswitch has been out of action since this past September due to a double pneumonia illness. Rumors of Blue and Killswitch being medically cleared for returns soon were recently debunked.
Figthful Select reported that their sources provided an update on the current status of Blue and Killswitch’s recoveries from their injury and health situations.
It was reported that those spoken to familiar with Blue and Killswitch’s status stated that both are “close” to making a return but there is a difference between being cleared by doctors and being cleared by AEW.
AEW officials reportedly have been operating under the assumption that Blue would not be returning back from her injury until this Spring. Blue had traveled to Australia for their Grand Slam Australia show to support for her boyfriend Kyle Fletcher who worked at the show.
In regards to Killswitch, it was reported that AEW officials currently have more of a “TBD” timetable for his potential return due to the nature of his illness.
It was reported that AEW officials currently do not have any creative plans for Blue and Killswitch’s returns but Blue has been pushing for a quick recovery and return from her injury.
