Former AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May’s contract with AEW reportedly is currently believed to potentially expire in a few months, according to Fightful Select.
It was reported that their sources stated that the current belief within AEW is that May is nearing the end of her current contract with the company. May’s contract reportedly is currently believed to be expiring at some point this summer.
It was also reported that it is currently expected that AEW will do all it can to keep May and that WWE very likely would be interested in making an offer if she were to become available.
It was also reported that May’s contract potentially could be expiring at a much later date due to it might have option years. One source spoken to reportedly stated that they would be surprised if May’s contract did not include option years due to she was heavily pushed on AEW television despite being on a short-term agreement.
If the option years are included and were picked up, this would keep May around for a much longer period of time in the company and potentially at a different and higher pay scale.
May has been signed with AEW since November of 2023.
