David Finlay vs. Shota Umino Set for NJPW New Japan Cup 2025 Finals

Monday’s New Japan Cup 2025 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling in Koriyama, Japan featured Shota Umino defeating Shingo Takagi in a Semifinal Round match.

Umino will be facing off against David Finaly in the Finals of this year’s tournament, which takes place on March 20th at the Aore Nagaoka in Nagaoka, Japan.


Mickie James vs. Maki Itoh Announced for WrestleCon Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow 2025 Event

WrestleCon recently announced one new match for the card of their Mark Hitchcock Memorial Super Show 2025 event, which takes place on April 17th at the Pearl Theater At Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This new match announced was a singles match of Mickie James vs. Maki Itoh.

Davey Boy Smith Jr. Comments on Him Signing Five-Month Contracts with AJPW

A recent episode of the Cafe de Rene with Rene Dupree podcast featured Davey Boy Smith Jr. as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Smith Jr.’s thoughts about his current time in All Japan Pro Wrestling and him revealing that he signs five-month contracts for his stints with the company.

“All Japan have been doing great and I’m returning back for the Champion Carnival and then staying over there until August… I do five-months contracts with them at a time. So I stayed over there for five months. I’m going back March 27th β€” or March 26th I go back. I’m back in Canada right now just seeing some family. Then I’m gone away for about five months so…”

Davey Boy Smith Jr. has been working for AJPW since December of 2023.
