Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo Explains His Reason for Turning on D’Angelo Family

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo explaining his reasons for turning on Tony D’Angelo.

During the show, D’Angelo came out to the ring with other members of the Family standing on the apron. D’Angelo talked about how betrayal is something everyone can understand and how he did not expect it to happen at Stand & Deliver. D’Angelo stated that he expected him and Channing to have a conversation man-to-man but not like this. D’Angelo also stated that when things started turning sideways, he gave him the benefit of the doubt. After some more words, D’Angelo stated Channing had his eyes on the big seat and he wanted to lead the Family. After some more words, D’Angelo stated that Channing’s impulsivity almost cost them and that is why he is the Don and makes the big decisions. D’Angelo then stated that Channing waited for the right moment when the whole world was watching and waited for Stand & Deliver to take that knife and stab him right in his back. D’Angelo stated that Channing is going to pay for his sins and nobody has heard from Luca and Rizzo is in hiding.

This led to several security guards coming out and stood at the ramp way. Channing then appeared on the big screen standing at a bridge. Channing stated that he thoughts about showing up with the lamps staring back at him but that is not what the Don would do. Channing then tried to reassure D’Angelo that nothing was going to happen with security out there. Channing stated that he was going to tell you something you need to hear, which he revealed to be him saying that he is sick of taking orders and Tony is soft. Channing then talked about how D’Angelo’s decision that made DarkState think they could push them around and hoe he had to take the reigns and take control. After some more words, Channing stated that you are losing power and if he can trust his own family now. Channing then stated that you don’t even know who you can trust right now.

This led to D’Angelo looking at his Family members standing at the apron which they all responded back waving off them having any involvement with Stacks’ actions. This then led to security guards rushing into the ring and a brawl breaking out that ended with D’Angelo clearing the ring of them all. D’Angelo stated that if Channing wants to be the Don, then he has to come down here and take it yourself.

Meta-Four Mutually Agrees to Break Up as Group on Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Meta-Four mutually agreeing to break up as a group.

During the show, Noam Dar was seen in a room backstage with his newly won NXT Heritage Cup. This led to Oro Mensah showing up to celebrate Dar’s return and his recent title victory. Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend showed up next and celebrated Dar’s return as well. Legend then told Dar she had something important to say. Legend stated that maybe it time now and the best for all of them to go out on their own separate paths for their careers. Legend stated that this had to be something that they all agreed together as a group, which they all did.

NXT Title & NXT Women’s Title Matches Announced for Battleground 2025

Tuesday’s NXT show also featured two new matches announced for Battleground 2025, which takes place on May 25th at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.

The first new match announced was a NXT Championship match of winner of #1 Contender Battle Royal vs. Oba Femi (c).

This new match was setup following a promo segment involving Trick Williams and NXT GM Ava. Williams came out to the ring and talked about his recent attack on Joe Hendry and him showing up at TNA’s Rebellion 2025 event. After some more disparaging words towards Hendry, Williams turned his attention towards Femi and demanded to get another shot at his NXT title. This led to Ava coming out and after some banter between the two, Ava stated that Williams will get another shot at the title but only if he wins a #1 Contender Battle Royal match on next week’s show.

The second new match announced was a NXT Women’s Championship match of winner of Giulia/Jordynne Grace vs. Stephanie Vaquer (c).

This new match was setup following a backstage segment involving Vaquer and NXT GM Ava over Vaquer asking who she would be facing for her title at Battleground. Ava responded stating that Giulia and Grace both are good choices and the winner of their match next week will face Vaquer for the title.

The Undertaker & WWE LFG Talents Make Surprise Appearance on Tuesday’s NXT Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured WWE Hall of Famer and WWE LFG talents Shilo Hill, Antony Luke, and Jasper Troy making a surprise appearance.

During the show, NXT Champion Oba Femi was seen backstage for an interview with Kelly Kincaid about Trick Williams’ demands and the announcement of a battle royal match to determine his challenger for him at next month’s Battleground 2025 event. This led to The Undertaker making a surprise appearance and told Femi that this is his yard now but he has some guys from LFG and they will be coming soon for you. This led to Hill, Luke, and Troy showing up and Femi giving a smirk asking Undertaker if they are the future he is talking about. Femi stated that he is looking forward to the challenge and then left.

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured three new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on May 7th at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

These matches were setup following promos, storyline angles, and match card graphics throughout the show.
