AEW: Darby Allin on Successfully Climbing Mount Everest, 5/31 AEW Collision Show Currently Scheduled for Late Start Time, Josh Mathews Confirms Behind-The-Scenes Job with AEW & ROH

Darby Allin Comments on Successfully Climbing Mount Everest

As noted before, Darby Allin successfully reached the summit of Mount Everest on Sunday. Allin has been on a break from AEW since this past December due to his planned climb of the mountain that had started this past mid-April.

Allin reflected earlier today on Instagram about his successful climb of Mount Everest.

“Mount Everest summit.

What a ride thanks @aew for everything in life.

Thanks to the amazing team at adventure consultants and the Sherpa squad this shit was wild!”

May 31st AEW Collision Show Currently Scheduled for Late Start Time on TNT

AEW’s Collision show on Saturday, May 31st on TNT is currently scheduled to be preempted to a later than usual start time.

In a recent update to the programming schedule on their official website, TNT currently has this upcoming show listed to air starting at around 11:30PM EST on their network that night.

The reason for the later than usual start time is due to TNT’s current commitments with the 2025 NBA Playoffs that night.

This preemption is entirely dependent on if the upcoming Eastern Conference Championship series between the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks reaches a Game 6. If the series goes to six games, then that night’s Collision show will be preempted to a later start time and if not, then Collision will air at its normal start time of 8PM EST.

Josh Mathews Confirms Behind-The-Scenes Job with AEW & ROH

As noted before, Josh Mathews, former TNA Senior Producer and Senior Director of Digital Media, was hired by AEW this past April for a backstage job that was later revealed to be for AEW’s production team.

A recent new video released by former WWE talent Maven, real name Maven Huffman, on YouTube featured Mathews as one of the guests. One of the topics discussed included Mathews confirming that he was hired by AEW and is currently working for their production team for AEW and ROH shows.

“Right now, shadowing Mike Mansury. So, I’ll do the Ring of Honor matches before. Then I’ll sit and watch Collision. Then I’ll do the Ring of Honor matches after.”
