AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2025 Notes: Bobby Lashley Approves MJF Joining Hurt Syndicate, Shirakawa Debuts New Entrance Song, Mystery Spider Image Airs Again, Gabe Kidd Appears & Helps Jon Moxley, Anarchy in the Arena Set for Double or Nothing, 5/17 Collision Beach Break Card

Bobby Lahsley Gives His Approval to MJF to Join Hurt Syndicate

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2025 show at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois featured Bobby Lashley giving his approval for MJF to become the official newest member of the Hurt Syndicate.

Lashley’s decision was initially setup over recent weeks shows over MJF’s efforts to win over Shelton Benjamin and Lahsley’s approval to join the group. During tonight’s show, MVP told MJF in an ominous tone backstage to be in the ring after their match so that he can witness their decision up close.

Following the Hurt Syndicate’s victory over Top Flight and promo segment with Sons of Texas and Cru, MVP called for MJF to come out to the ring. This led to MJF’s music playing but him not showing up. MJF then told Benjamin to go find MJF, which he did leading to him walking up to the Gorilla position and AEW CEO Tony Khan snitching that MJF was hiding behind them. MJF slowly popped up and after some words, Benjamin grabbed MJF and helped him back to the ring as MJF looked on concerned.

MVP then held another vote resulting in him and Benjamin giving their thumbs up in approval. Lashley then went up to MJF and grabbed him and proceeded to tease doing a thumbs up and down multiple times while Benjamin stood behind MJF ready to superkick him if Lashley gave the thumbs down. After some teasing, Lashley gave his thumbs up making MJF’s membership official. After some celebrating by MVP and “We Hurt People” chants, MVP told MJF that they will hold an membership contract signing next week to make his inclusion into the group official.

This spider image is currently speculated to be for former Stardom talent Thekla’s official debut in AEW. Thekla’s nickname in Stardom was the “Toxic Spider.”

Gabe Kidd Makes Surprise Appearance & Helps Jon Moxley Retain AEW World Title

Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Beach Break 2025 show also featured New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Gabe Kidd make a surprise appearance.

Near the end of the AEW World Championship Steel Cage match between Samoa Joe and Jon Moxley, the Death Riders attempted to interfere leading to Powerhouse Hobbs and Willow Nightingale coming out to even up the odds at ringside. This led to a brawl breaking out and a mystery hooded person showing up and handed Moxley the briefcase containing the AEW World title. Moxley grabbed the briefcase and laid out Joe for the pinfall victory to retain his title. This mystery person was revealed to be Kidd who then got into a confrontation with Hobbs that led to another mass brawl breaking out.
