Bea Priestley Makes Surprise Appearance at NJPW Resurgence 2025

Friday’s Resurgence 2025 event for New Japan Pro Wrestling at the Toyota Arena in Ontario, Canada featured Bea Priestley, former Blair Davenport in WWE, making a surprise appearance and official debut in NJPW.

During the pre-show, Priestley’s music played and mader her surprise appearance coming out to the ring. Priestley talked about her 90-day non-compete clause with WWE being over and the top gaijin being back in wrestling.

Following her promo, Priestley competed in a singles match against Viva Van, which was won by Priestley.

This was Priestley first appearance and match in wrestling since her release from WWE this past February.


United Empire Wins NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Titles at Resurgence 2025

Friday’s NJPW Resurgence 2025 event also featured United Empire (Templario & TJP) defeating World Class Wrecking Crew (Jorel Nelson & Royce Isaacs) to become the new NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Champions.

This was Templario and TJP’s first ever NJPW Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship victory of their NJPW careers. This was also the first time that a team from United Empire won the championship.


AZM Wins NJPW Strong Women’s Title at Resurgence 2025

Friday’s NJPW Resurgence 2025 event also featured AZM defeating Mina Skirakawa and Mercedes Mone in a Three-way match to become the new NJPW Strong Women’s Champion.

This was AZM’s first ever NJPW Strong Women’s Championship victory in her NJPW career.
