Jordynne Grace Comments on Training for Bodybuilding Competition in 2023 & TNA Being Unsure She Could Wrestle

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast featured Jordynne Grace as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Grace’s thoughts about her training for bodybuilding competition in 2023 and how it affected her wrestling career in TNA Wrestling at the time.

“I probably ruined it for a lot of wrestlers in TNA because I was actually supposed to wrestle Mickie James, I think a week before my building competition. I think they just looked at me and were like, ‘We don’t think you can do this match.’ I was empty inside. I was a shell of my former self. That weekend, they had me cut a promo and they put it up online. Everyone is calling me like a coke head because my cheeks were sucked in. It was a crazy look.”

Will Ospreay Comments on Wanting to Help Run a European Record Breaking All Women’s Event By End of 2025

Grapple Theory held a recent interview with Will Ospreay. One of the topics discussed included Ospreay’s thoughts about his current goal of wanting to help run a European live gate record breaking all-women’s event by the end of this year.

“There’s something in me that really wants to do something daring and wants to like… I think the European largest gate for a women’s show is held by EVE at 1,000 people. I want to break that record. I have the resources with AEW and Ring of Honor. I have the relationship with STARDOM that I have, and myself and Dann (Read) really want to collaborate to one day, maybe towards the end of this year, we want to go for like a big venue and see if we can put in the largest European all-women’s gate.”

Ospreay also gave his thoughts about the growth of all-women’s promotions like Pro Wrestling EVE and how several women stars in AEW have spoken to him about possibly working with EVE for shows.

“I think a lot of women’s wrestling now is coming to the forefront, and the women can do things just as good as the guys if you’re giving them the time. At EVE, we give them the time and we give them the ability to be able to tell their story how they want to do it and the fact that I get to put these fine little details behind it, honestly, the momentum’s shifting our way. I’ve got people like Willow Nightingale, Sky Blue, Queen Aminata, all saying like, we would love to come over to EVE. The name is getting out there. So for me, this is about striking while the iron is hot.”

In a recent interview with the Insight with Chris Van Vliet podcast, Joe Hendry gave his thoughts about his “I Believe in Joe Hendry” entrance theme song and the original version of the song he used during his time in Ring of Honor. Hendry stated “Because in Ring of Honor, I had this song. The audio file is the exact same, but when I do the turn, it’s almost like the difference between the British Office and the American Office. I had this discussion the other day that it’s like wrestling is theater, and it needs to be larger than life. I was really more focused on the nuance before of what I thought was funny. Whereas it’s like with wrestling, you have to be larger than life. So this became that sort of thing. So I think making that transition, and also what I learned at TNA about character development. I learned then that making everything bigger and just learning who and what Joe Hendry was as a character, I allowed that to come out visually in the second entrance video that I had done. And I think by doing that, it just tipped it over the edge.” Hendry also gave his thoughts about the “Say His Name” element to the song and why he wanted it his theme music to be as literal as possible. Hendry stated “I don’t know. I just remember when I wrote the song I wanted it to be as literal as possible. So I wanted it to be I will tell the audience when to clap, I’ll tell them when to wave their hands, and I will explain that if you are to say my name, you will be rewarded with me appearing.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
