Three New Matches Announced for Friday’s ROH TV Show

Ring of Honor announced three new matches for the card of tonight’s ROH TV show on HonorClub.

The first new match announced was a ROH World Championship Proving Ground match of Gringo Loco vs. Bandido (c).

The second new match announced was a ROH Women’s World Television Championship Proving Ground match of Laynie Luck vs. Red Velvet (c).

The third new match announced was a singles match of Satnam Singh vs. mystery opponent.

Misc. Wrestling News & Notes

TNA Wrestling recently announced that they will be holding a co-produced event called The Border Brawl on May 25th at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre on the Canadian side of the border. It was announced that Brutus The Barber Beefcake, “The Mountie” Jacques Rougeau, Kelly Kelly, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be making an appearance for the company at this upcoming event.

Major League Wrestling recently announced that this year’s Lucha Apocalypto event will be taking place on November 15th at the Cicero Stadium in Cicero, Illinois.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that MLW will be bringing their War Chamber cage to this Saturday’s Lucha Azteca 2025 event in Cicero, Illinois. Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that fans can expect to see something involving the War Chamber to be taped for a future broadcast before MLW goes live with their event.

F1RST Wrestling recently announced that this year’s Saturday Night Nitro event will be taking place on September 6th at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

As noted before, The Righteous, Dutch & Vincent, departed from AEW and Ring of Honor this past week following them requesting and being granted their releases. Vincent recently posted a video on Twitter hyping up The Righteous’ future of their wrestling careers.

Thursday’s 2025 WHL (Western Hockey League) Prospects Draft event featured Duke Lesnar, son of Brock Lesnar, being drafted by the Medicine Hat Tigers with the 115th pick in the fifth round.

Seattle rock radio host and longtime DEFY Wrestling employee Kevin Diers passed away on Thursday at the age of 39 years old. DEFY issued an official statement on Twitter about Diers passing. Game Changer Wrestling and indies talent Kevin Ku announced on Twitter that he had underwent knee surgery this past Wednesday. Ku statedMy knee has not been great for a while but it really gave out the day before Hammerstein and I’ve been working through that ever since. Glad to finally get it fixed [Wednesday] and come back 100% probably.

In a recent Q&A video on his official YouTube channel, WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley gave his thoughts about if wrestlers receive a pay raise for being champions in a company. Dudley stated “Well, I gotta say yes or no to that. You could be a champion and pretty much make the same amount, but if you’re put in that position to be a champion, then chances are your pay will go up because you’re the one carrying the company. You’re the one that’s going to be the face of the company at that particular time. So why wouldn’t they pay you more? Of course, you would get more.
