Current Major Match Plans for John Cena for Money in the Bank 2025
WWE reportedly is currently working on plans for a major match for John Cena at their Money in the Bank 2025 event next month, according to PWInsider.
Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that these plans currently do not involve Cena defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk. Those spoken to reportedly stated that WWE officials currently want this match to take place at a later date instead.
In regards to WWE’s current plans for Cena, Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that there have been pitches for a tag team match or a Six-Man tag team match involving Cena teaming up with Travis Scott at the event.
Rhea Ripley Comments on Certain Wrestling Fans Who Believe “Women’s Wrestlers Deserve Better” Being Same Ones Who Tear Them Down
Rhea Ripley recently gave her thoughts on Twitter about certain online wrestling fans who believe that “women’s wrestlers deserve better” while also being the same ones who degrade and tear them down in the same breath.

A&E WWE Programming Ratings – May 11, 2025
This past Sunday’s WWE LFG episode drew 149,000 viewers on A&E. This episode also drew a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This was up compared to last week’s show’s 125,000 viewers but down compared to its 0.04 18-49 demographic rating.
This past Sunday’s doubleheader first episode drew 89,000 viewers on A&E. This episode also drew a 0.02 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This was down compared to the April 13th episode’s 147,000 viewers but up compared to the April 13th episode’s 0.01 rating. This episode focused on Cody Rhodes.
This past Sunday’s doubleheader second episode drew 88,000 viewers on A&E. This episode also drew a 0.03 rating in the 18-49 demographic. This episode focused on The Bloodline.

Wednesday’s WWE Speed show on Twitter featured Ivy Nile defeating Maxxine Dupri to advance to the next round of WWE’s newest #1 Contender’s tournament for the WWE Women’s Speed Championship. Nile will be facing off against Kelani Jordan in the Finals of WWE’s current tournament.
The PHX Arena recently announced that current Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena will be making an appearance at the June 9th WWE RAW show at their venue in Phoenix, Arizona.
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred recently announced that he has officially removed Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose, “Shoeless” Joe Jackson, and several other past MLB players from MLB’s permanently ineligible list. Manfred also announced that players permanently banned from baseball will have their punishments lifted upon their deaths. This announcement now paves the way for Rose, Jackson, and others to now become eligible for potential induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Rose was notable in wrestling history for making several appearances in WWE, his iconic moments with Kane, and being inducted into WWE’s Hall of Fame in 2004.
WWE recently released one new video to their WCW Vault channel on YouTube. This new video was a WCW World Heavyweight Championship Three-way match of Kevin Nash vs. Scott Steiner vs. Jeff Jarrett (c) from the May 24, 2000 episode of WCW Thunder.

WWE also recently released one new video to their NXT Vault channel on YouTube. This new video was the full April 15, 2015 episode of WWE NXT.
2K Games’ official WWE 2K Twitter account recently announced that the celebrity guest playable character for the New Wave DLC pack will not be released alongside the other new playable characters for the pack for their WWE 2K25 game. It was also announced that this celebrity guest playable character will now be released in a future update for the game.
In a recent Instagram Live session, CM Punk gave his thoughts about the belief people have that he hates coming to Saudi Arabia for shows. Punk stated “I don’t hate coming to Saudi, I’ve never been to Saudi.” Punk’s comments were in response to past negative comments he made directed towards WWE running events in Saudi Arabia and his Twitter feud with The Miz in 2020.
WWE NXT talent Karmen Petrovic recently revealed on Twitter that former WWE wrestler and wrestling legend Jazz is the guest coach at WWE’s Performance Center this week. Petrovic stated “post training with this absolute trailblazer. the phenom still & always will have it @Phenom_Jazz“
