Elijah & Zachary Wentz Makes Surprise Appearance on Tuesday’s WWE NXT Show

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured TNA talents Zachary Wentz and Elijah, former Elias in WWE, making a surprise appearance.

Wentz and Elijah were revealed as two of the mystery competitors for the NXT Championship #1 Contender 25-Man Battle Royal match.

Myles Borne Wins #1 Contender Battle Royal & NXT Title Match Set for NXT Battleground 2025

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Myles Borne winning a #1 Contender Battle Royal match for the NXT Championship.

This match featured Borne, Shawn Spears, Timothy Thatcher, “All Ego” Ethan Page, Charlie Dempsey, Wes Lee, Josh Briggs, Ridge Holland, Lexis King, Yoshiki Inamura, Sean Legacy, Brooks Jensen, Trick Williams, Ricky Smokes, Tavion Heights, Je’Von Evans, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe, Brad Baylor, Niko Vance, Shiloh Hill, Chris Island, Ashante “Thee” Adonis, Zachary Wentz, and Elijah.

As a result of his victory, Borne will officially face off againt Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at WWE Battleground 2025.

Trick Williams vs. Joe Hendry for TNA World Title Announced for Battleground 2025

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured one new match announced for the card of WWE Battleground 2025.

This new match announced was a TNA World Championship match of Trick Williams vs. Joe Hendry (c).

This match was initially setup over recent weeks of WWE NXT and TNA shows over the bad blood issues between Williams and Hendry. During tonight’s show, Williams came out an interfered during Hendry’s Six-Man tag team match with Hank & Tank against DarkState costing Hendry the match. Later in the show, Hendry returned the favor and cost Williams a chance at the NXT title after causing his elimination from the #1 Contender’s 25-Man Battle Royal match.

In a follow-up segment, Hendry was seen with NXT GM Ava in her office and Ava being upset over Hendry and Williams issues still going on and things need to be settled. Ava then stated that she had a talk with TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella and they agreed that Hendry will face Williams at Battleground with his TNA World title on the line.

Jordynne Grace vs. Stephanie Vaquer for NXT Women’s Title Set for Battleground 2025

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Jordynne Grace defeating Giulia in a #1 Contender’s match for the NXT Women’s Championship.

As a result of her victory, Grace will officially face off against Stephanie Vaquer for the NXT Women’s Championship at WWE Battleground 2025, which takes place on May 25th at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
