Yoshiki Inamura Stint in NXT Ends & Returning to NOAH

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show featured a NXT Championship #1 Contender Battle Royal match, which was won by Myles Borne. This match also featured Yoshiki Inamura and Josh Briggs among the competitors and was notable for Inamura accidentally eliminating his tag team partner Briggs.

In a follow-up segment, Inamura apologized to Briggs backstage for causing him to get eliminated and stated that his time in NXT is over and he will be returning back to Japan for NOAH.

Prior to his announcement, Inamura had been on excursion for WWE’s NXT brand since this past November.

Riley Osborne Clarifies Report of Him Not Wanted to be Moved to WWE EVOLVE

As noted before, NXT and NXT EVOLVE talent Riley Osborne, real name Josh Terry, was among 15 talents released from WWE this past Friday. Osborne recently revealed that he was released while still recovery from an ankle injury and surgery.

Osborne provided an update on Tuesday on Twitter clarifying a report from the Wrestling Observer in regards to a reason for his release from WWE. Bryan Alvarez had reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Live that “one of the big things was, there are people that they want to go and help out Evolve. And I was told he did not want to go to Evolve, and he made it very well known.”

Osborne responded back clarifying his situation with WWE’s EVOLVE brand and denied that he did not want to go to the brand.

“I worked the first set of Evolve tapings the day after my wife was released. When I was told by head coach on a phone call that night I can have it off tomorrow if I need time with my wife as we had to pull out of the house we were like 2 weeks from closing on, all I had to do was tell him yea I’d like just a day to be with her. I was the first person in that building the next day and was commended on my professionalism. I will not have my work ethic questioned when I was busting my ass off in rehab to return which I knew the return would have been on Evolve.

Not everything you read online is true.”
