Eddie Kingston Comments on His Broken Leg Injury Rehab

As noted before, Eddie Kingston has been out of action for AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling since May of 2024 due to a broken leg, torn ACL, and torn meniscus injuries and surgery.

Kingston provided an update earlier today on Instagram posting a video of him rehabbing his knee while in pain and stating how he hates doing it but it has to be done.

“Tried to find some “motivational” quote, but let’s be real, shit sucked and I hate doing it, but it has to be done.”

Sammy Guevara Comments on Having No Problem With People Saying AEW Has New Four Pillars & Doesn’t Change What He & Original Pillars Did

A recent episode of The Wrestling Classic’s Casual Conversations with The Classic podcast featured Sammy Guevara as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Guevara’s thoughts about fans saying that AEW has new “Four Pillars” and how it does not change what he, Darby Allin, Jack Perry, and MJF have done for the company.

“I mean, the beginning because I didn’t — we didn’t give ourselves that (four pillars label), right? We were just four guys that, especially during the pandemic, were doing crazy things to try to put this company on the map and try to take advantage of all our opportunities because ultimately, I believe that’s what AEW is about is pushing the younger guys and we were the four younger guys that were really trying to break through and whatever that meant, throwing caution to the wind, especially me and Darby (Allin). It was almost a competition for a while, like, he’s gonna do something crazy, I’m gonna do something crazy. It’s really cool though. Hard work pays off and people eventually will see it the more you work hard… To be able to be the four guys to wrestle at Double or Nothing (2023), it was really cool because, you know, ultimately, I don’t believe some people may have thought that, oh, these four guys are gonna go for the (World Title) when we have all these other stars like a Kenny Omega and all these other people but it’s like, oh no, we’re also the stars too, you know? That helped build this place up and very happy with it. I see people have their own opinions of, ‘Well, this guy’s here now and this guy’s here. These are the new pillars’ or whatever and it’s like, I feel like it’s like a Mount Rushmore. Everybody can have their own opinion of it and I see nothing wrong with it. If you think this person’s a pillar, that’s perfectly fine. You think this person is? Ultimately, it doesn’t change anything that me, Darby, Jungle (Jack Perry), or MJF — I hate that guy — did to help in the beginning. It doesn’t change anything that we did for many years in front of nobody during the pandemic. It doesn’t change that.”

Maria Kanellis Comments on Wanted to Bring Back Her Ditzy Persona in AEW

A recent virtual fan signing event for K&S WrestleFest featured former AEW and Ring of Honor talent Maria Kanellis as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kanellis’ thoughts about how she had wanted to bring back her ditzy character from her WWE days during her time in AEW.

“That’s one of the things I wanted to play again (Kanellis said when it was mentioned that she played the ‘ditz’ role well). I really wish I got to do it one more time.

I think you could (go back to that). I think if you’re creative enough, you can do anything. I had a whole way of doing it. That was one thing I wanted to do in AEW. I’d continue trying to call Edge ‘Edge’ and him being like, no, no, no! It’s Adam Copeland.”
