Hechicero Officially Joins Don Callis Family at Tuesday’s CMLL Martes Populares Show

Tuesday’s Martes Populares show for CMLL at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico featured Hechicero announcing that he has officially joined the Don Callis Family.

During the show, Hechicero gave an announcement stating that he had grown frustrated with how Ultimo Guerrero and Averno had disregarded him in preparing for their match against the Don Callis Family. Hechicero stated that because of their disrespect, he will no longer be part of their team and instead has a new family and team to be with who respects him, which he revealed to be the Don Callis Family.

“Último Guerrero, Averno. The man of another level, the Master & Ruler… of what? of who? You two have a great problem: you are too used to manipulating, dominating, controlling, and ruling over, but you are not dealing with a rookie. You are dealing with Hechicero, the best exponent currently in Mexican Wrestling. You all have made alliances, have spoken, have even hung out, but I have not been ahead of our international big match-up on June 17. I could have been your best ally and made a Dream Team of Mexican Rudos, but you never counted on me. I am not that rookie who lets himself get manipulated. I am who leads the way, I am the one with the magic in the ring, it’s my moment. If I have anything is that I am direct, I am loyal, and I am thankful. You two were not counting me in then, now you don’t at all. That day, I will not be in your corner because I now have a new home, a new family, a real dream team with the best wrestlers in the world: The Don Callis Family. They are my new family, not by blood, but by ideology, by respect, by tradition, by hierarchy, by world-class potential as rudos. Now I am part of the family with the best wrestlers in the world. So, for the 17th, find new allies because you all do not count on Hechicero anymore.”

Hechicero most recently aligned himself with the Don Callis Family at the June 4th AEW Fyter Fest show. Hechicero had teamed up with Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher in a Trios match against Bandido & Los Outrunners (Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum), which was won by Hechicero’s team.

Ricochet Comments on His Character Development in AEW

ABC 8 WFAA held a recent interview with Ricochet. One of the topics discussed included Ricochet’s thoughts about his character development in AEW since joining the company.

“From the very first day, I have been very strategic about the development of the character. I’ve been very strategic about how we’ve proceeded and about where Ricochet wants to go. Obviously, the crowd and everything plays a big part of what you’re trying to do. But from the very beginning, this had always been kind of the plan for me. Obviously, how you get there and how long it takes to get there, that all varies. But yeah, I’ve always had the plan to come in here and be myself. Yeah, be myself eventually. That’s always been the plan. Again, but how long it took us to get and how long and how it took and how we got there, that all varies. But yeah, it has always been the plan for me to come in here and be myself.”
