As noted before, TNA Wrestling talent Elijah suffered an injury at this past Tuesday’s WWE NXT show in Orlando, Florida that was believed to be a potential torn triceps injury.
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed that Elijah had suffered a torn triceps injury during his Six-man Tag Team match at this past Tuesday’s NXT show. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Elijah has already undergone successful surgery to repair his triceps.
In regards to the cause of the injury, it was reported that those spoken to stated that Elijah’s injury did not occur during his “Old School” rope walk spot to Trick Williams and instead it happened later in the match. It was reported that the actual injury happened when Elijah came off the top rope and did a double knees move to the chest resulting in him landing with his arms to break the fall causing a tear to happen.
It was also reported that TNA’s lead ringside physician was visiting WWE’s Performance Center that night and assisted the NXT medical team with their treatment of Elijah.
It was also reported that their is currently no timetable for Elijah’s in-ring return.
