Backstage Update on Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal) Walking Out of Match at Indie Event

Raj Dhesi, former Jinder Mahal in WWE, was involved in an incident at event event for Battleground Championship Wrestling this past May in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This incident revolved around Dhesi abruptly walking out of his match against MASADA mid-way into it leading to MASADA being awarded a count out victory and fans in attendance being confused over what had happened.

Following the incident, BCW promoter stated that the situation was caused due to complications involving hotel arrangement and shared a message he claimed to be from Dhesi’s agent for his actions at the event. MASADA later publicly claimed that Dhesi had imposed restrictions on what could and couldn’t be used during their match and walked out over his issues.

Fightful Select reported that those spoken to close to Dhesi insist that the entire ordeal was just a work and something that was orchestrated in advance by the show’s booker.

It was reported that despite the claims of it being a work, Dhesi is currently not scheduled for any future appearances with BCW.
