WWE NXT’s Fatal Influence & DarkState Make Surprise Appearances on Thursday’s TNA Impact! Show

Thursday’s taped TNA Impact! show featured WWE NXT’s Fatal Influence and DarkState making surprise appearances.

Following Masha Slamovich’s victory over Killer Kelly in a Chain match to retain her TNA Knockouts World Championship, Fatal Influence’s Jazmyn Nyx, Fallon Henley, & Jacy Jayne ran out and attacked Slamovich. This led to Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee running out to save Slamovich. Later in the show it was announced that Slamovich will be facing off against Jayne in a Title vs. Title match for the TNA Knockouts World Championship and WWE NXT Women’s Championship at Slammiversary 2025.

Following Matt Cardona’s victory over Eddie Edwards in a singles match, the lights went out and spotlights were shown revealing DarkState’s Cutler James, Dion Lennox, Saquon Shugars, & Osiris Griffin in the crowd. DarkState then rushed into the ring and attacked Cardona quickly laying him out with a Cerberus Bomb.

Tony Khan Provides Update on Potential Rebranding of ROH Into AEW: ROH

As noted before, AEW CEO and Ring of Honor owner Tony Khan had stated during this past July’s ROH Death Before Dishonor 2024 post-show media scrum that he has been considering the idea of potentially rebranding ROH into “AEW: Ring of Honor” as a way to bring more value to ROH under his ownership.

WFAA held a recent interview with Khan. One of the topics discussed included Khan providing an update on the potential of ROH getting rebranded in the future.

“I still think there’s a great chance to develop ROH. We really have done a lot of work to develop ROH. They are unique companies, structurally. I think that does make a lot of sense, and I still think there’s merit to that, but there are also a lot of reasons why I’ve positioned [ROH] the way I have. Ring of Honor, I still think we have a chance to strike at great opportunities.

AEW has made huge media rights deals that have changed the landscape for all wrestling companies, including ROH, and any deal we do, it’s got to make really good sense for everyone involved, including us at ROH and also AEW.So, that is something I’ve considered… Right now, I think we’ve done a great job positioning the company as leaders, with leading champions like Athena and Bandido.”
