A recent episode of the Rulebreakers with Saraya podcast featured former WWE and AEW talent Jake Hager as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Hager revealing that he has retried from his wrestling career.
“I’m getting out of wrestling. I can say I’m retired from it. I started a trucking company…running routes through Tampa and Florida. I’m not driving, not me. I got people driving. I’m excited. It’s something to stick my teeth into, you know. Hard work always pays off.”
Hager stated that his new trucking company is called Haulin’ Oats and is a play on the name of the musical duo Hall & Oates.
Prior to his announcement, Hager’s wrestling career spanned from 2006 to 2024. Hager worked sporadically in the indies following his release from AEW in May of 2025 and last wrestled in November of 2024 for Banger Zone Wrestling.
