WWE Posts Cryptic Videos Teasing Arrival or Return of Wrestler [Update: Third Cryptic Video Posted]

Update:

WWE released a third new cryptic video this evening teasing the arrival or return of a mystery wrestler.

In an interesting note, the shoes worn by this mystery person was different from the shoes shown in the other two cryptic videos released earlier today.

WWE posted two cryptic video earlier today on Twitter teasing the arrival or return of a wrestler for their main roster.

The first video released this morning featured just the shoes and dress pants of a mysterious person taking several steps forward in an unknown place.

This quickly led to online speculation of fans that this mysterious person could potentially be the return of Gunther who has been away from WWE since this past August’s SummerSlam 2025 event.

Others speculated that this could potentially be the return of Andrade El Idolo who had been fired from WWE this past September and is currently under a very lengthy non-compete clause preventing him from working for AEW and other wrestling promotions.

Others also speculated that this could be the official return of Santos Escobar who has been absent since this past summer and his contract with WWE had expired earlier this month but quickly signed a new deal afterwards.

Others online also speculated that this could be the official call-up and main roster debut for NXT talent Tony D’Angelo who has been absent since his Sopranos ending inspired segment in NXT this past July.

In a follow-up, WWE released a second video this afternoon featuring this mysterious person and only showing his shoes and dress pants again.
