As noted before, Joe Hendry is currently expected to be leaving TNA Wrestling and joining WWE full-time in early 2026. Hendry was expected to be phased out of TNA’s plans in the lead-up to his expected departure.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Hendry recently signed a full-time contract with WWE.
It was reported that Hendry had a “number of months” remaining on his TNA contract and used representation to amicably move forward with WWE. Hendry reportedly is not believed to have any heat with TNA officials over it.
It was also reported that WWE officials had wanted to bring in Hendry for some time and WWE SVP of NXT and Talent Relations Shawn Michaels has been a vocal fan of him. Michaels reported wanted WWE to try and buy out Hendry’s TNA contract.
Prior to his signing with WWE, Hendry had been signed with TNA since September of 2022 following a prior stint from May of 2018 to February of 2019. Hendry last wrestled for TNA this past September and has made several appearances for WWE and competed in several matches for their NXT brand since then.
