WWE reportedly is currently not hiring new talent for their roster for the company, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that talent from both TNA and AEW who had recently contacted WWE for potential new contracts were told that the company was not looking at hiring new people.
Those spoken to reportedly stated that WWE officials currently feels that they have so many talents in developmental and many of whom are ready that they do not need to hire new talents for the time being.
In regards to TNA talents, Meltzer reported that despite the economic stability of TNA’s new television deal with AMC, several talents had reached out to WWE over their uncertain future with the company.
Meltzer also reported that WWE’s current hiring freeze is not an absolute rule and they would likely still sign high value talents on the level of a Chris Jericho or Leon Slater if they were available on the market.
