As noted before, Powerhouse Hobbs’ contract expired on Thursday, January 15th and he is expected to be leaving AEW and joining WWE.
Hobbs competed in his final match for AEW in a match with Samoa Joe & Katsuyori Shibata against Hangman Adam Page & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey” for the AEW World Trios Championship at Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Maximum Carnage 2026 show. This show was taped on Wednesday, January 14th in Phoenix, Arizona.
Following the show, Hobbs’ profile was removed from AEW’s roster page officially confirming his departure from the company.
Prior to his departure, Hobbs had been with AEW since July of 2020.
