As noted before, Clark Connors’ contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling is currently set to expire soon and he is exploring options for the future of his wrestling career.
Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources within AEW stated that Connors is currently expected to sign with the company imminently. Those spoken to reportedly stated that an offer is already on the table and is in the process of being finalized.
Sapp reported that AEW officials are currently interested in signing David Finlay to a potential contract as well. Similar to Connors, Finlay’s contract with NJPW is also set to expire soon and he is also exploring options for his career’s future.
Connors has made several appearance for AEW since 2022 with his most recent being the January 31st episode of AEW Collision where he competed in a singles match against Darby Allin.
