FTR Issues I Quit Stip to Cope & Cage for AEW World Tag Titles at AEW Double or Nothing 2026

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Playoff Palooza 2026 show featured one newly updated match announced for the card of Double or Nothing 2026, which takes place on May 24th at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

This newly updated match was an AEW World Tag Team Championship New York I Quit Street Fight match of Cope & Cage (Adam Copeland & Christian Cage) vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (c). This match also features the stipulation of if Copeland and Cage loses, then they will never team up again.

This newly updated match was setup following an in-ring promo segment involving Wheeler and Harwood want to up the stakes for their AEW World Tag Team titles match against Copeland & Cage and issued a challenge for an I Quit stipulation to be added.


The Opps Gives Anthony Bowens Their Answer Officially Making Him A Member

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Playoff Palooza 2026 show also featured The Opps’ Samoa Joe & HOOK giving their answer to Anthony Bowens wanting to know if he’s in the group or not.

During the show, Joe and HOOK were seen walking backstage talking about HOOK recruiting for The Opps while Joe was away. This led to Bowens showing up and confronted the two. Bowens asked them what the decision was regarding his membership in The Opps. Joe responded stated that there were no more vacancies in The Opps now that he is back. Thi led to Bowens being a bit upset at first only for Joe to shake his hands and welcomed him into the group revealing they approved him being the newest member.


Current Card for Next Week’s AEW Dynamite Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Playoff Palooza 2026 show also featured two new matches announced for the card of next week’s AEW Dynamite show on April 29th at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

Among the notable new matches announced was an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship match of Kris Statlander & Hikrau Shida vs. Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) (c). This new match was setup following Statlander & Shida issuing a challenge to Divine Dominion for their titles and Divine Dominion accepting it later in the show.

These new matches announced were:

  • AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship – Kris Statlander & Hikrau Shida vs. Divine Dominion (Lena Kross & Megan Bayne) (c)
  • RUSH vs. mystery opponent
