This was the first time since November of 2019 that Lucha Underground had posted something on their official Twitter account.
In regards to who owns Lucha Underground, Lucha Blog reported that WWE does not own the company as part of their acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA due to AAA never legally owned it. It was reported that this was something resolved in the court following a legal case over the company’s ownership situation at the time. It was also reported that a holding company called Lucha Underground LLC has owned it since March of 2023.
Lucha Underground originally ran for four seasons from October of 2014 to November of 2018 on the El Rey network.
