The Young Bucks recently released a new episode of Being The Elite on YouTube. One of the topics discussed included Matt & Nick Jackson rewatching their BTE 200 match that took place at their home during the COVID-19 pandemic and aired on the 200th episode of Being The Elite. The Young Bucks also revealed that match was the “pilot” for AEW’s Stadium Stampede match and how they showed it to AEW CEO Tony Khan as a “proof of concept.”
Matt Jackson – “That’s what inspired the football field one that we later do at Stadium Stampede.”
Nick Jackson – “This match inspired Stadium Stampede.”
Matt – “This is the pilot to Stadium Stampede. We showed this as a proof of concept to Tony Khan. We were like, hey, I think we could do this on pay-per-view with a bunch of guys.”
Nick – “This was the guinea pig.”
