Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling recently announced that Michael Oku will be making an appearance for the company at their Multiverse event on April 17th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
As noted before, Maple Leaf Pro recently signed a new television deal with TSN in Canada for the launch of a new weekly MLP Mayhem series this July. In a recent interview with the Edmonton Journal, AEW manager and MLP commentator Don Callis gave his thoughts about MLP’s new television deal with TSN. Callis stated “I think MLP getting a national television deal in Canada is gigantic news. It’s the first time since, I think, ’86 or ’89, since anyone has had national television in Canada in terms of a quote, unquote, independent (promotion). Of course, AEW is also on TSN, so I think it’s a great partnership. I’m excited for Canadian fans that Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling is back. I think Canada has great wrestling fans – I don’t want to speak or interact with them – but they are intelligent in terms of pro wrestling.”
WrestleCon recently announced that WWE Hall of Famers Bushwhacker Luke and Mark Henry, David Otunga, Kris Statlander, MxM Collection (Mason Madden & Mansoor), and Christopher Daniels will be making an appearance for the company at their WrestleCon Las Vegas convention on April 16-19 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Former WWE, WCW, and All Japan Pro Wrestling wrestler Dan Spivey recently released a new memoir titled The Dangerous Truth: A Life of Chaos, Consequences and Sobriety. Official synopsis: “The Dangerous Truth, more than just wrestling, it’s a raw story of betrayal, loss, survival and redemption. With his career and life in ruins, Dan Spivey faced a choice, die from addiction or fight for something bigger than himself. From the bright lights of professional wrestling to the downward spiral that never seemed to end. He lay there dying from an out-of-control addiction, to then kick out, Dan knew what he must do, that’s when he found a better way to life. The Dangerous Truth is Spivey’s brutally honest, unflinching, and darkly funny confession: the unforgettable story of a man who was once his own worst enemy to become his greatest champion.“
In a recent interview with Wheezy, Ruby Soho revealed that Tom Pestock, former Baron Corbin in WWE and current Bishop Dyer in the indies, is the coffee distributor for her and Aneglo Parker’s Victory Roll cafe in Mishawaka, Indiana. Soho stated “So it is called Victory Roll Board Game Cafe. It is in Mishawaka, Indiana. It has over 800 board games, some of the best food that you could ever come across. Our chef was a chef that was trained in Las Vegas, and he comes up with wild new concoctions all the time. We have amazing coffee that actually, formerly known as Baron Corbin, is our coffee distributor. We have all kinds of things that has a little dash of a love of wrestling, but the real premise is to bring families in that need something to do together of all different ages, to turn their phones off, to shut the world off, to touch grass, and to be able to just kind of kick it old school and find a new board game that they didn’t know about and really immerse themselves in the hobby and just enjoy themselves, and I think we’ve done that.” (Transcript h/t: Fightful.com)
