Kevin Owens Comments on Wanting To Help The Next Generation & Just Want To Be Around Wrestling
As noted before, Kevin Owens has been out of action for WWE since April of 2025 due to a neck injury and surgery. During his time away, Owens joined the cast as a coach for the upcoming new third season of WWE LFG on A&E.
WWE recently released a teaser trailer for their upcoming new season of WWE LFG featuring Owens’ thoughts about his role as a coach on the show and how he just wants to be around wrestling.
“I’ve been wrestling for 25 years. Ultimately, for me, I just want to help the next generation. Also, I don’t really know what I’d do with myself if I didn’t. This is all I’ve done since I was 15. This is what I love and have always loved. Right now, I’ve been off for eight, nine months, because of my neck surgery. I’m losing it. I just want to be around it.”

Among those in attendance at the hearing was WWE President and Zuffa Boxing promoter Nick Khan.
One of the topics discussed during the hearing included Khan revealing that WWE currently has over 100 active Legends contracts with the company.
“So WWE for example has over 100 deals with what we call our legends, our retired wrestlers. So they receive compensation from us for years after their retirement from (the) ring, because of their participation in our video games, trading card deals, merchandise deals, and action figures and all of these other ancillary revenues.”
