EVIL Makes Surprise WWE Debut Appearance

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured former NJPW talent EVIL, real name Takaaki Watanabe, making a surprise appearance and official debut in the NXT brand.

During the show, NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo came out to the ring and talked about how the more this place changes, the more it stays the same and the one thing that is a constant in NXT is that people come and go. D’Angelo continued talking about Tony there is no one tough enough to kick him off the mountain and brought up the person who sent him the mystery package last week. After some more words, D’Angelo stated that he wants to know about the box and who sent it.

This led to the lights going out and music playing as a mystery hooded person made their way to the ring. This mystery person took off his hood revealing himself to be EVIL and gave a smirk as he handed D’Angelo another gift of a shirt with kanjii writing on it.

EVIL then left leading to Tavion Heights running out and attacked D’Angelo laying him out. As Heights left and trash talked to the camera, another person ran out and proceeded to lay out D’Angelo with a monsault press before he also left the ring.

Kam Hendrix, Tristan Angels, Will Kroos, & Tate Wilder Makes Surprise NXT Debuts

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured developmental talents Kam Hendrix, Tristan Angels, and Will Kroos making their surprise debut appearances on the NXT brand.

Following Myles Borne’s victory over Saquon Shugars to retain the NXT North American Championship, Angels’ interrupted the celebration and was shown in the crowd. Angels introduced himself and gave some words of warning to Borne. This led to Hendrix running out from the crowd and attacked Borne from behind laying him out.

In a follow-up segment, Kroos came out during NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo’s in-ring promo segment after D’Angelo had been confronted by EVIL and laid out by Tavion Heights. Kross also laid out D’Angelo after he hit a moonsault press before leaving.

In another follow-up segment, Birthright attacked Sean Legacy and EK Prosper following their loss to the duo in a tag team match. This led to Wilder running out to save Legacy and Prosper and helped clear the ring of Birthright.

Sean Legacy Makes Surprise Injury Return

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Sean Legacy making his surprise return from injury.

Prior to the start of the tag team match between Birthright and EK Prosper & Dorian Van Dux, Lexis King stated that he had some bad news for Prosper and directed everyone to the big screen revealing that Birthright had taken out Dux. This led to Prosper running out and engaged in a brawl that led to Legacy coming out to help and be Dux’s replacement for Prosper.

This was Legacy’s first appearance since this past March due to an ankle injury.

Mr. Iguana Makes Surprise Return

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured AAA Mixed Tag Team Champion Mr. Iguana making a surprise return.

During the show, NXT Women’s Champion Lola Vice came out to the ring and called out The Culling over their actions towards her last week. This led to Shawn Spears showing up on the big screen to cause enough of a distraction for Izzi Dame and Niko Vance to come out from behind. This led to Mr. Iguana showing up from behind and helped Vice deal with The Culling and cleared them out of the ring.

Lizzy Rain Makes NXT In-Ring Debut

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show also featured Lizzy Rain making her official debut for the NXT brand.

Rain competed against Nikkita Lyons in a singles match, which was won by Rain.
