Identity of Minihausen at WWE Backlash 2026 Revealed

As noted before, Saturday’s WWE Backlash 2026 event featured Danhausen revealing the big mystery surprise for his tag team partner for his match against The Miz and Kit Wilson was just being a mini wrestler dressed up like him.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated AAA talent Mascarita Sagrada was the person who portrayed Minihausen in the match.

Trick Williams Comments on Potential Future Match with Carmelo Hayes on WWE Main Roster

This past Saturday’s WWE Backlash 2026 event featured Trick Williams defeating Sami Zayn to retain the WWE United States Championship.

Following the event, WWE held a Backlash post-show featuring Williams as one of the guests. One of the topics discussed included Williams’ thought about the potential of him having a match with Carmelo Hayes in the future on WWE’s main roster.

Trick Williams – “Y’all wanna see Trick versus Melo?” (The crowd cheered.) “The people (have) spoken. Let’s see what happens.”

Lil Yachty – “Melo could get it too though.”

Williams – “I mean, look, look, look, look, look, we’ll see what happens. Me and Yachty, we’ll go talk about it and see what we come up with.”

Backstage Update on WWE’s Original Plans for JC Mateo

As noted before, JC Mateo departed from WWE earlier this month as part of a recent larger batch of talent releases and departures.

Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials original plans were for Mateo to be given a big push for his debut in the company. Meltzer reported that Mateo was originally planned to work with key people in singles feuds that never ended up happening.

Meltzer reported that WWE officials changed their plans for him after seeing him and made the decision to just put him in Solo Sikoa’s The MFTs stable. Meltzer speculated that Mateo’s height might have played a part in WWE officials dropping their original plans for him due to him being shorter than most of the pushed talent in the company.

Meltzer also reported that WWE officials also did not seem to want to feature his key strength of his uncanny athletic ability for his heel character during his time in the company and instead just turned him into another guy in the group.
