Saturday’s 2026 NBA Finals Game 5 between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs featured the Knicks winning by a score of 94 to 90 and clinching the series victory.
This was the Knicks’ first NBA Championship since 1973.
The Knicks’ title winning run during this year’s NBA Playoffs was notable for the team winning 15 out of their last 16 games after Danhausen had uncursed the team.
Following the Knicks’ victory, Danhausen congratulated the Knicks and declared himself the “King of New York.”
“DANHAUSEN IS THE KING OF NEW YORK!
CONGRATULATIONS @nyknicks THE KINGS OF NEW YORK!
UNCURSED!”

The Knicks were initially cursed by association after Danhausen had cursed Stephen A. Smith, who is a notable longtime fans of the Knicks, this past April.
