As noted before, AEW commentator Jim Ross has been hospitalized since this past late May due to an undisclosed medical issue.
Ross provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that he is currently set to be discharged from the hospital and return to his home on June 30. Ross also stated that he recently had a great phone call with his friend and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Ross previously revealed in an episode of his Grilling JR podcast that he had suffered a fall the day before AEW’s Double or Nothing 2026 event this past May and had been dealing with some back issues following his flight for AEW’s show. Ross had also revealed in a separate episode of his podcast this past May that he has been tested for potential dementia or Alzheimer’s issues.
