Saturday’s The Conversion 2026 event for Stardom at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium #2 in Tokyo, Japan featured AEW Women’s World Champion Thekla making a surprise appearance.
During the show, Stardom President Taro Okada was addressing the crowd at ringside after the third match had finished. This led to Thekla showing up behind him with electric clippers in her hand. Thekla grabbed Okada’s shoulder and Okada gave a shocked reaction as Thekla attempted to cut his hair. Okada tried to escape only to tumble over the table.

This led to Starlight Kid running out to save Okada and attacked Thekla sending her out of the ring. Kid then grabbed the AEW Women’s title belt and held it up saying the next time that she holds it, she would be the champion.

Thekla has been feuding with Okada since 2025 that led to her storyline “firing” from Stardom after her first attack on Okada.
Thekla is currently scheduled to defend her AEW Women’s World Championship against Starlight Kid at AEW and NJPW’s co-promoted Forbidden Door 2026 event on June 28 in San Jose, California.
