Ricky Sosa Makes Surprise TNA Return at June 11 TNA Impact! Show

Thursday’s TNA Impact! show on AMC and Sportsnet 360 featured Ricky Sosa making his surprise return to TNA Wrestling.

During the TNA World Championship match between Eric Young and Mike Santana, Sosa’s music played and he came out to the stage. This led to Young becoming distracted long enough for Santana to catch Young in a roll-up for the pinfall victory to retain his title.

This was Sosa’s first appearance in TNA since this past March due to him dealing with a personal situation back home in the United Kingdom that was later revealed to be visa-related and other undisclosed issues.

Drilla Moloney Comments on His Decision To Stay With NJPW & Rest of The War Dogs Leaving The Company For AEW

New Japan Pro Wrestling’s NJPW1972 website held a recent interview with Drilla Moloney. One of the topics discussed included Moloney’s thoughts about his reasons for his decision to sign a new contract this past February to stay in the company.

“I feel a unique connection to the Japanese fans and the country as a whole. I never expected to become as beloved and accepted by Japan as I have been, so I guess I have this overwhelming sense of gratitude that made it hard to leave.”

Moloney also gave his thoughts about the rest of his former War Dogs group, David Finlay, Clark Connors, and Gabe Kidd, leaving NJPW and signing with AEW.

“Don’t get me wrong, I miss Gabe, Clark and Fin, but I had to figure this part of my journey out by myself and I felt like it wasn’t the right time to think about leaving Japan.

War Dogs was the most successful unit in recent years, both in ring and in merchandise sales. But I knew I wanted to stay in Japan and I knew the boys would go and rip it up in AEW and pick The Dogs up right where they left off. So I rolled with it and stayed here.”
