Damián 666 Makes Surprise Appearance
Saturday’s AAA Verano de Escándalo 2026 Week 1 show at the Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mexico featured Damian 666 making a surprise appearance.
During the show, AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio was seen backstage leading to El Grande Americano showing up to have a talk with him. El Grande and Mysterio talked about their issues with Los Perros del Mal and if El Grande can actually trust Mysterio to work together against Perros. After Mysterio left, original Perros del Mal member Damian 666 showed up wearing a Perros shirt and told El Grande for him to “remember, few are chosen.” Damian 666 then walked away as El Grande reacted over what just had happened.

This was Damian 666’s first appearance in AAA since September of 2025.
La Hiedra & Laredo Kid Wins AAA Mixed Tag Titles
Saturday’s AAA Verano de Escándalo 2026 Week 1 show also featured La Hiedra & Laredo Kid defeating Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana to become the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions.

This was La Hiedra & Laredo Kid’s first-ever AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship victory as a team and La Hiedra’s second and Kid’s first AAA Mixed Tag titles victory in their AAA careers.
Penta Appearance Announced for August 15 AAA TV Show
Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio making several new official announcements in a backstage press conference.
One of the new announcements was Penta to make an appearance on the August 15th AAA TV show at the Coliseo Centenario in Torreon, Mexico. Mysterio stated that Penta will be dealing with issues involving Los Perros del Mal recent actions in AAA at the upcoming show.

Dominik Mysterio Walks Out on El Grande El Americano & Joins Dorian Roldan’s Group
Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio turning on El Grande Americano and walking out from their tag team partnership.
Mysterio’s heel turn on El Grande Americano was setup over recent weeks shows over Mysterio and El Grande sharing a mutual hatred of Los Perros del Mal but El Grande being unsure if he could actually trust Mysterio.
During the tag team match between Mysterio & El Grande vs. Los Perros del Mal’s Daga & Angel, Mysterio offered a metal plate for El Grande to use as a weapon while the referee was not looking, which El Grande refused to do.
Near the end of the match, the rest of Los Perros del Mal showed up and interfered leading to Los Americanos (Rayo & Bravo) running out to try to even up the odds and brawled at ringside. This led to Karem Petrovic showing up to help out her fellow Perros del Mal members and caused enough of a distraction for Bronco Nima to chokeslam Rayo and Bravo through a table. After some more action in the ring, El Grande went for a tag only for Mysterio to refuse and moved away from the corner. This led to El Grande giving a surprised reaction as Mysterio smirked and walked away as Los Perros del Mal attacked El Grande and eventually securing the win.

Following the match, Mysterio made his way up the ramp and onto the stage before stopping. Omos’ music played and him and Dorian Roldan came out to meet with Mysterio. This led to Mysterio and Roldan shaking hands revealing Mysterio as the newest member of the group.

Saturday’s AAA TV show also featured two new matches announced for the card of next week’s Verano de Escando 2026 Week 2 show on August 1 on FOX Latin America and WWE and AAA’s YouTube channels.
The new matches announced were:
- Vacant AAA Latin American Championship Triple Threat match – La Parka vs. Mecha Wolf vs. Lince Dorado
- Galeno & El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. vs. mystery opponents
