“Speedball” Mike Bailey recently released a new vlog on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Bailey’s thoughts about him winning the #1 Contender Ladder match for the AEW International Championship at AEW Redemption in his hometown of Montreal.
“I was saying that this was real fucking cool, and again, looking into the crowd and seeing mostly people, well, not mostly. But seeing a significant amount of people that I know personally, that I’ve gone out to dinner with, that I’ve been to their house, that I’ve wrestled with, it’s a pretty cool thing, and my first time in the Bell Center, standing on top of a ladder, getting a guaranteed shot at the winner of the match between Bandido and Kyle Fletcher tonight for the International Championship. It’s a big deal in Lil Speedy’s career. We’re doing it.”
During the video, Bailey approached Bandido backstage following Bandido’s loss to Kyle Fletcher for the AEW International Championship at AEW Redemption. Bailey asked for Bandido’s blessing before he signed his match contract for it to take place at AEW Grand Slam Mexico.
“But out of respect, I want you to be the first to know that I’m going to be challenging Cal Fletcher at AEW Grand Slam in Arena Mexico. Sign the contract right now with your blessing.”
