Former TNA Wrestling and Ohio Valley Wrestling referee Alice Lane, real name Katie Reynolds, recently signed an official contract with WWE.
Lane’s signing was first announced by Head NXT official Adrian Butler who stated on Instagram welcoming Lane to the NXT referee team and revealed she will be starting her tenure in the company at this weekend’s NXT house show tour in Florida.
“This weekend’s WWE NXT Live Events in Ft. Pierce and Citrus Springs will see the debut of our new referee Katie Reynolds! Welcome to the team, Katie!”
During her time in TNA, Lane had received praise for how she handled Steve Maclin’s injury situation during his match against Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship at this past March’s Sacrifice 2026 event. Following Maclin taking an accidental stiff superkick to the head and fell down hard onto the mat, Lane immediately checked on Maclin and called off the match after he showed signs of a head injury. Lane’s quick actions led to Maclin avoiding suffering any further serious injury and she was awarded by TNA with their All-Star Award for the event.
Speculation of Lane’s departure from TNA arose this past June after fans noticed that Lane was no longer listed on the company’s roster page.
