TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament First Round Match
M By Elegance vs. Rosemary

The Elegance Brand and DemonXBunny just can’t seem to stay away from each other. Rosemary and Allie took the Knockouts Tag Titles from Heather and M and now they are facing off in this tournament. Last week, Allie lost to Heather in the first round, so there’s some avenging to be a-doing.

Rosemary faked the mist off the top, allowing her to get the jump on M. She kept control, biting and punching M In the corner. Then Rosemary locked on a bridging crossface, but M didn’t give up. Rosemary kept up the pressure until Heather tripped her up behind the ref’s back.

M took over from there, bouncing Rosemary’s head off the turnbuckle. She drove shoulders into Rosemary’s midsection and went for a cover, but Rosemary kicked out at two.

M hit a dropkick off of a rollup and threw Rosemary into the corner, but Rosemary got the drop and tarantula’ed her over the ropes. Out of that, M dropkicked Rosemary for another two count. M slapped on a head lock but Rosemary elbowed out of it.

M started getting a little cocky, throwing a few insulting strikes, but then Allie tripped her up under the ropes. Rosemary took advantage with a clothesline and a sling blade. She threw M with a belly-to-belly suplex and shot her out of the ring.

Heather tried to cause a distraction, but Allie took her out. With that, M was able to get the drop on Rosemary and roll her up to advance in the tournament.

Winner: M By Elegance via Pinfall.

Backstage: The System

Back from a break, The System cut a promo letting us all know that even though they had a bad night last week, they are still the best in TNA. Bronson said that Sosa has pissed off one of the most violent wrestlers in the world and he might just kill him tonight (his words, not mine). Cedric Alexander promised to retain his title against Fabian Aichner. Also, you can’t beat The System and so on.

AJ Francis vs. Moose

Frakie Kazarian joined commentary as it was his needling that set up this match last week.

Just for the record, even though I find his gimmick incredibly dated, I like AJ Francis. I also like Moose. Most importantly, I like when big dudes like Moose and Francis beat the hell out of eatch other. So, let’s do that.

Francis jumped Moose from behind before the bell rang. He sent him into the corner and the mach started officially. Moose and Francis played the big man hits, bumping into each other and mloving the fight outside of the ring.

Moose sent Francis into the steel steps and then went for a powerbomb, but Expressions distracted him, allowing Francis to get him with a pop up powerbomb on the ring apron (the moosiest part of the ring!). Francis tossed Moose back in and went for a cover, but Moose kicked out at two.

Moose crawled over to the corner and Francis charged with a big knee to the face. Francis called for the chokeslam but took a bit too long with it and Moose countered with a huge headbutt. Moose leapt up, but Francis speared him in mid air for a two count.

Francis started mugging for the camera and Moose grabed him from the top rope for a ring-shaking superplex. Moose went for the cover, but somehow Francis kicked out. Kazarian called them “studs.”

Moose clotheslined Francis to the outside and then smacked the popcorn out of Kazarian’s hands. That made Kaz mad, so he pulled Moose from the ring and bounced his head off the ring post. The ref called for the bell and Francis continued the assault on Moose.

Backstage: Elayna Black, Xia Brookside

Backstage, Elayna Black (not that you’d know it because no one said or showed her name) cut a promo about how she is going to win her Knockouts TV Title Tournament match against Wendy Choo next week. Xia Brookside wandered by for some reason and even though no one asked, said that Black should stay in her lane and watch her mouth. Black then said that she’s better than Brookside and left.

In-Ring: Mustafa Ali, Order 4

Back from break, TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali took a break from making phone calls to hold a State of The Order(4) Address. He said that they should be the most dominant faction in TNA. They should have all the Gold, but only he got the message apparently.

He said that he’s given Order 4 members everything and they’ve only given him problems. He said that they are comfortable with failure and Order 4 needs help to get their heads out of their backside regions.Ali then introduced the newest member of Order 4, the new Secretary of Strategic Affairs, Mila Moore. Tasha Steele and the Great Hands were not impressed, especially Tasha.

Moore took the mic and thanked Ali for the job. She said that they have a lot of work to do and in Ali she trusts. Ali took the mic back and said that the next move is to determine the next #1 contender for the International Title. Ali suggested an “International Vote” which would give the TNA locker room the chance to vote for anyone they think should vie for the title.

He then welcomed Moore to Order 4 and that was it.

Video: Injury Report

In the TNA Injury Report, TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth reminded everyone that he set a personal best chin up record and is still in great shape.

Video: The Righteous, The Hardys

Back from break, a vignette for The Righteous played. Dutch and Vincent picked up a leather satchel. They opened it up and it was a hologram from the Broken Hardys inviting them to the Hardy Compound for “Righteous Deletion!”

Bear Bronson vs. Ricky Sosa

The System tried to bring Sosa into the fold a couple of weeks ago buyt he said “nah mate” and that led to last week’s tag match between Sosa and Leon Slater and Bronson and Bryan Meyers. which the System lost. Meyers joined commentary for the match.

The bell rang and Sosa sent Bronson to the corner. Bronson came bacl with some chops and the two went back and forth until Sosa dodged a charge in the corner and ran at Bronson, who slid out of the ring. Sosa followed but Bronson caught him with a Black Hole Slam on the floor.

Bronson threw Sosa back into the ring and mocked Sosa’s entrance dance. That made Sosa mad and he threw some strikes. He went for a sunset flip, but Bronson dropped down, squashing Sosa for a two count.

Bronson suplexed Sosa and then went up top to drop an elbow. Sosa kicked out of the cover though. Bronson put on a waistlock and Sosa elbowed out of it. Bronson then levelled him with a lariat followed by a senton. Bronson went for another suplex but Sosa blocked it and countered with a twisting suplex of his own.

Back from a break, both men were throwing bombs in the middle of the ring. Sosa got a few quick kicks and then a German suplex in to get momentum on his side. He nailed Bronson with a Spanish (Sosa) Fly, but could only get a two count.

Sosa went up top, but Bronson caught up with him Sosa started throwing kicks, including a single-leg dropkick, but Bronson wouldn’t stay down. He escaped to the outside and Sosa dove on him over the ropes.

Meyers decided to get involved, buying some time for Bronson to recover. Sosa came off the ropes right into a choke bomb for a two count. Bronson dropped the straps and picked Sosa up on his shoulder. Sosa countered out of it and knocked Meyers off the apron in the process.

Sosa missed a Blue Thunder Bang and Bronson countered with a Bear Down and picked up the win.

Winner: Bear Bronson via Pinfall.

Backstage: Moose, Elijah

Back from commercial Moose approached Elijah and asked him to help take out AJ Francis next week. Elijah was more than happy to oblige, so next week it’s Moose and Elijah vs Francis and Frankie Kazarian.

TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament First Round Match
Harley Hudson vs. Thea Hail

Hail is the first NXT wrestler to appear in the tournament thusfar, which is cool and gives it a bigger feeling. The winner of this match will go on to face former NXT wrestler Indi Hartwell.

The bell rang and they traded waistlocks. Hail knocked Hudson to the mat with a shoulder then followed that with an armdrag. Hudson countered that with a head scissor then dropped a leg on Hail’s arm.

Hail tried a casadora, but Hudson countered it into a front slam for a two count. Hudson went back to working Hail’s arm, pulling and twisting it before throwing her in a fallaway slam. Hail came back with a boot to the face, but missed a clothesline, so Hudson hit her with one of her own.

Hail tried a backslide but only got two. Hail threw a big knee and Hudson came back with a right hand. Hail caught Hudson with a headbutt and a back elbow before nailing a suplex.

Hudson tried to out-power Hail but found herself rolled up for two. Hudson nailed Hail with a neckbreaker, but Hail kicked out at two. Hail came back with a tornado DDT and front slam, but Hudson went for a leg drop. Hail dodged it and threw herself backwards onto Hudson, getting the pin to move on to the next round.

Winner: Thea Hail via Pinfall.

In-Ring: Nic Nemeth, KC Navarro

Back from commercial, TNA World Champion and man who obviously owns vintage Zubaz pants, Nic Nemeth made his way to the ring. Last week, Nemeth broke up (friendship wise) with KC Navarro, telling him to leave him alone.

Nemeth borrowed a phrase from the 90’s and said he’s the best thing going to today. He knows everyone wants a piece of him and he’s letting them know that anyone who thinks they want a shot– then KC Navarro interrupted.

Nemeth told Navarro to go away because this is where big players work. Navarro tried to reason with him, but Nemeth dismissed him, telling Navarro to get out of the ring. Which Navarro did. Sadly, but he did it.

Nemeth continued, saying he didn’t care who the next person he faced would be. Navarro interrupted again, saying that sometimes you get nothing no matter how much you give. He ran through his recent losses and then said Nemeth holds the one thing that would prove everyone wrong about him, the World Title.

Navarro said he’d feel better about life if he kicked Nemeth’s ass and took his title. He then challenged him for said title next week. Nemeth said “sounds cool, but…” if Navarro promises to leave Nemeth alone after he loses, he can have his match.

TNA X-Division Championship
Fabian Aichner vs. Cedric Alexander (c)

And then, just like that, it was Main Event time! Aichner earned this shot at Alexander’s X-Division Title after winning a scramble match last week. Alexander retained his title in Ultimate X at Slammiversary, so this will be his first one-on-one defence since winning the title from Leon Slater.

The bell rang and Aichner looked to set a heavy tone, driving Alexander into the corner. The ref separated them and they locked up with Aichner hitting an immediate take down into an arm lock. Alexander held on and tried to tip Aichner up, but no dice and Alexander scambled to the corner.

Aichner and Alexander threw everything they had at each other, with neither gaining the upper hand. Aichner kept the aggression up with a senton into a moonsault combo. Alexander escaped to the outside and Aichner followed.

He bounced Alexander’s head off the apron and chopped him around the ring. Aichner paused for a moment to grab an A-Game drink, took a sip, then dumped it on Alexander and tossed him back into the ring.

Aichner went for a spingboard, but slipped on the top rope and took a tumble. That opened things up for Alexander to hit a spine buster and a suplex on the apron. Alexander then rolled in and tried to exploit the countout.

Aichner made it back in by 7 but Alexander leapt at him right away, chopping him against the ropes. He put a knee in Aichner’s gut and then put him in abdominal stretch. Alexander took his time with the stretch as we went to commercial.

We cam back in time to see Alexander throw Aichner in a German suplex for a two count. He sent Aichner to the corner for some chops and Aichner hulked up and called for more. Alexander obliged, but Aichner took over and hit a DDT from the rop rope sending Alexander to the outside.

Aichner hit a crossbody from the ringpost and threw Alexander back into the ring. Aichner hit a top rope springboard moonsault, but Alexander kicked out at two. Aichner picked up Alexander for a powerbomb, but Alexander countered with a Michinoku driver.

Alexander then hit a brain buster, but Aichner kicked out. Alexander started kicking Aichner, chopping him down when he got to his knees, and screaming at him. Aichner fired up and nailed Alexander with a lariat before setting him up on the top turnbuckle. Alexander fought him off and went for a cross body, but Aichner met him with a dropkick.

Aichner went for the powerbomb again and planted Alexander. He went for the cover, but Alexander got his foot on the bottom rope to break the count.

Alexander poked Aichner in the eyes and sent him out of the ring just in time for a running Eddie Edwards to hit him with a Boston Knee Party and disappear under the ring.

Alexander pulled Aichner back into the ring for a Lumbar Check and 1-2-3 won the match and retained the X-Division Title in what was a really, really good match!

Winner: Cedric Alexander via Pinfall to retain the TNA X-Division Championship.

After the match, Edwards and Alexander beat up Aichner until Ricky Sosa came running down to make the save. Sosa fell to the damn numbers game, but Leon Slater wasn’t far behind and Sosa, Aichner and Slater beat up Alexander and Edwards, sending them running as a great episode of Impact came to a close.
