CM Punk Comments on What Will Determine His Wrestling Career Retirement Timeline

A recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast on the newly launched WWE Radio channel on SiriusXM featured Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Punk’s thoughts about his legacy in wrestling and future of his wrestling career and what will determine his timeline for his retirement.

“I do, but not much. It’s a fleeting moment, you know? Just because I know I’m much closer to the end than I am the beginning. Where that end is? Nobody knows. I don’t even know. It’s not measured in the length of a contract. It’s not measured in matches. To me, it’s honestly — it’s measured in health. It’s how I look and it’s more importantly how I feel. And right now, I’ve never felt better. I’m double-timing my recovery on things, which is something I’ve never been really great at. And the business now allows you to fit all that in. So I’m just going to go until the wheels fall off. We’ll see what happens.”

Nikki Bella Comments on Her Nearing The Final Run In Her Wrestling Career

A recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show podcast featured WWE Hall of Famer and co-host Nikki Bella giving her thoughts about her nearing the final run in her wrestling career.

“I’m coming close to the end. I am, and I’m very great with that. A year-and-a-half, whatever it is, the end of 2027. I really just want to finish this out exactly how I want it. If I have to break rules, I’m going to break rules. I want to end it how I see it so I don’t look back and go, ‘What if?’ Creatively, if I feel a certain way, I want to do it. I don’t want to sit there and go, ‘Oh, but follow the rules and be a good girl.’ I want to challenge myself, I want to fight for myself, I want to stick up for what I believe in, and I also want to be super impressive and produce great stuff as far as matches, but also creative. I want to continue to be a part of great changes for women’s wrestling and constantly making women’s wrestling feel important and special, and while I’m doing great things, bringing other people up with me to do great things. I don’t just speak the talk of empowering women; I truly love to empower women. It’s such a great group right now and whatever I can give, while also being a bad bitch, I’m all game.”

Bella also revealed that AEW and ROH talent Aaron Solo had helped train her for her recent return from an ankle injury.

“Brie has her coach, who’s Bryan [Danielson]. So my coach has been Aaron Solo, and Aaron is amazing. So when Brie was coming back, Aaron worked a lot with Bryan and Brie. Because he’s over in San Francisco, he’s been coming and coaching me and training me.”

Bella also stated that she is planning on getting more practice matches with Solo to get back into ring shape ahead of her Six-Woman Tag Team match with Brie Bella and Paige against Fatal Influence at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

“This was my fourth practice with Aaron. And I’m going to make sure, we’re going to get two more big practices in before SummerSlam.”

WWE & ESPN Partnering for Danhausen SummerSlam 2026 Ice Cream Truck

WWE announced that they have recently partnered with ESPN for a new Danhausen themed ice cream truck during SummerSlam 2026 week in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Ahead of the biggest event of the summer, SummerSlam, ESPN and WWE invite fans to enter the wonderfully weird world of Danhausen with the debut of the Very Nice, Very Evil SummerSlam Freeze Tour – a one-of-a-kind roaming popsicle truck serving frozen treats, unexpected surprises and photo opportunities in Minneapolis.

From Thursday, July 30 to Sunday, August 2, humans brave enough to approach Danhausen can choose their frozen fate: VERY NICE or VERY EVIL, as the truck makes stops throughout the greater Minneapolis area from Downtown East Commons Park to the Convention Center and U.S. Bank Stadium. Fans can test their luck by spinning a flavor wheel to have their frozen treat selected for them.

Tune into SummerSlam streaming live on the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited subscription on Saturday, Aug. 1 and Sunday, Aug. 2 beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Because every human should witness SummerSlam. Danhausen approves.
