Maya World Comments on AEW Extended Mental Health Resources To Her Family After Her Brother’s Passing
As noted before, TBS Champion Maya World’s brother Jatwane Anton Wilson, passed away this past June following a fatal car accident in Texas.
Post Wrestling and Poisionrana held a recent interview with World. One of the topics discussed included World’s thoughts about how AEW extended mental health resources to her and her family after the tragic incident.
“As soon as I got there, everybody was so loving and comforting. Tony has been amazing since that happened. They also had all these mental health resources for me and also my family that they extended it to. It’s just been the best, I don’t know if anywhere else would’ve been so loving as AEW has been. Definitely one of those things where I had to like just dive in and make myself busy. I’ve been on the road every week since, so it’s been great.”

Josh Alexander on His Knee Injury & How He “Completely Blew Out His Meniscus”
As noted before, Josh Alexander has been out of action for AEW and Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling since this past March due to a knee injury and surgery. Alexander made a surprise return from injury on the August 19th episode of MLP Mayhem.
Maple Leaf Pro recently released a new video featuring Alexander. One of the topics discussed included Alexander providing additional details regarding his knee injury this past March and how he completely blew out his meniscus and was told by his doctors that he probably would be out for the rest of 2026 due to his injury situation.
“In March, I was competing at AEW Collision. It was a couple weeks before Global Wars and Uprising and I was really pumped for those shows. They say don’t try this at home and we’re all trained professionals and athletes. I twisted my knee and completely blew out my meniscus apart and had to have it rebuilt and went in April 1st for my surgery, and they told me I’d be out for probably the rest of the year. The part of Josh Alexander that made excuses or let his foot off the gas, that guy died, and I’ve credited that moment, losing everything — wrestling is my first love, wrestling’s my first passion, wrestling is the only thing that I ever thought I was meant to do. When I lost that and I was relieved to hear I could come back a few months after, the Josh that made excuses prior, that guy died, and I think that’s been the biggest benefit to my career going on since.”
In March, an injury sidelined the MLP Canadian Champion Josh Alexander @Walking_Weapon. But now, months before doctors expected, HE’S BACK! What does this mean for the road to Northern Rising! Find out Wednesdays on #MLPMayhem on TSN! pic.twitter.com/JhsE0dJoJE
