“Speedball” Mike Bailey Comments on Tony Khan’s Feedback & Khan Knowing His Roster’s Strengths

A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured “Speedball” Mike Bailey as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Bailey’s thoughts about the feedback he receives from AEW CEO Tony Khan and Khan trusting him to go 20 minutes with AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley.

“It’s not really a conversation that we’ve had, right? It’s specifically — or methodologically — what he wants to see from his people in the ring but he has been very encouraging and he’s always there; he’s always at Gorilla, and I always get match feedback from him and while it’s not incredibly specific, it does let me know exactly what I need to do in my matches going forward… I think he’s extremely smart about knowing his people’s strengths and he has put me in a lot of fantastic situations and that just lets me know that he sees me as someone who is able to go into those big matches, and for example, I know that the match I had against Jon Moxley on Collision is a match that Tony (Khan) just wouldn’t put anyone else in — going 20 minutes with Jon Moxley is a pretty big deal, and that just shows a lot of faith and I really appreciate that.”

Sammy Guevara Comments on His Current AEW & ROH Abscense

Sammy Guevara has been absent from Ring of Honor since this past August and from AEW since this past June and has made sporadic appearances for both throughout 2026.

Guevara recently provided an update in a post on his YouTube channel stating all he can do is stay ready and posted a photo of the current shape that he is in.
