Kyle Fletcher on His Comeback From Fractured Ankle Injury and How It Motivated His AEW All In 2026 Performance & More

Kyle Fletcher recently released a new Protolog video on his official YouTube channel. One of the topics discussed included Fletcher’s thoughts about his comeback from a fractured ankle injury this past March and how it motivated him for his performance in the AEW International Championship Three-way match at AEW’s All In 2026 this past August.

“All In day. It’s finally here. This felt like a long time coming. I have been thinking about this day since probably the start of my injury. This was kind of always the end goal. It was always because I didn’t know how long I was going to be out for, it was thinking about this day and getting back in time for this.

That’s normally how it goes, and then it just sneaks up on you and then it’s finally here. It feels like it’s going to be so far away forever, and then lo and behold, here we are. So now it’s just time to do the thing. All the preparation’s got us here. Now we just get to enjoy it. Well, don’t get to enjoy it. I’ll enjoy it after it’s done. Getting my a** beat for a couple minutes probably. But I will also be doing plenty of a** beating, which will be the fun part. It’s time to go do the thing.”

Fletcher also gave his thoughts about him losing the AEW International Championship to Kazuchika Okada in a Three-way match with Okada and Konosuke Takeshita.

“It has been an incredible day. With some down points, obviously, losing my title was not ideal. But the rest of it, being a part of All In, being here at Wembley Stadium again, one of the best days of my life. Couldn’t have asked for more apart from retaining my title. Apart from that, the day’s been absolutely incredible. One of the ones that I will remember obviously for the rest of my life. Hopefully there are a lot more big matches and big moments in my future. I’m sure there will be, but this one will definitely stick out for a very long time to come.

Fletcher also gave his thoughts about his guest commentary work during the Takeshita vs. The Beast Mortos at the August 29th AEW Collision show in Glasgow, Scotland.

“There’s a teardown happening, and that’s Dynamite Collision, Glasgow, Scotland, completo, day one of the trip done. It was a fun time, got to do some commentary. I enjoy doing commentary, it’s very fun.”
