Nyla Rose has been absent from AEW since February of 2025. During her time away from AEW programming, Rose has been working in a backstage role in AEW and has been wrestling in the indies. Rose stated in a recent interview with Denise Salcedo that she is still waiting for another opportunity to make her return to AEW television.
A recent episode of the Off The Rails with Jasmine St. Claire podcast featured Rose as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rose’s thoughts about her belief that AEW CEO Tony Khan is not to blame for her current lengthy AEW abscense situation.
“I genuinely don’t think it’s him. I genuinely, genuinely don’t think it’s him. You know how they say trust your gut. This isn’t me just glazing him because he’s my boss or anything like that, it’s just that there may be some things I can’t talk about or things I can only speculate on. But, in my heart of hearts, the relationship that we have and the conversations that we have, I don’t think it’s him.”
