As noted before, Monday’s WWE RAW show at the Legacy Arena At The BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama featured Bayley making her surprise return to WWE. This was Bayley’s first appearance since this past July’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show and was believed to have recently signed a new contract that included an expanded backstage role in the company.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources denied recent reports and rumors of Bayley signing a new contract for her return to WWE being true.
This rumor originated from a report from Dave Meltzer in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio who stated that Bayley had signed a new deal.
Johnson reported that multiple sources spoken to within WWE stated that there were no conversations about Bayley signing a new deal as a condition for her return to WWE television. Those same sources reportedly also stated that Bayley still has a lot of time left on her current deal with the company.
