Sanga (Saurav Gurjar) Arrested For Alleged Sexual Exploitation In India

The Hindustan Times reported that Saurav Gurjar, former WWE wrestler Sanga, was arrested on Sunday in India for alleged sexual exploitation.

It was reported that a 29-year old woman had accused Gurjar of misleading her with promises of marriage.

It was also reported that Gurjar was arrested at the Mumbai airport after a Look Out Circular order was issued by police. Gurjat reportedly was taken to Hyderabad and put in judicial custody for 14 days.

In the police report, it was stated that the woman had told police that they connected on Instagram in 2021, met in December, and began a relationship. The woman also stated that during the course of their relationship, Gurjar had disclosed that he was already married.

The woman reportedly also claimed that “He repeatedly promised to give me wife-like rights and eventually settle down with me. He used to block me on the phone/social media and disappear without any prior information. I suffered mental harassment, emotional distress and financial loss, including losing my job after I left my employment in the US to stay with him.”

In the police report, it was stated that Gurjar had convinced the woman to leave her job in the U.S. so that they could start a business in India but he failed to follow through on those promises. The woman stated that they had lived together from October of 2025 to March of 2026 before cutting off communication.

In regards to the charges against Gurjar, police had registered the case under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita which pertains to sexual intercourse through deceitful means.

It was reported that the allegations against Gurjar are still under investigation and have not been established in court.

Gurjar worked for WWE from January of 2018 to April of 2024 and was most known for his time with Veer Mahan as the tag team of Indus Sher.
